Innovation Day

February 16th is observed annually as Innovation Day, a holiday that recognizes creativity and the relentless pursuit of knowledge that enables innovation in countries around the world. At this very moment, some of the most daunting challenges faced by humanity are being quietly addressed by young individuals who have decided to pursue their dreams and careers in technology and other innovation-driven industries.

This day allows all of us to applaud these individuals and encourage them to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible and what is deemed impossible. Humanity can solve its problems, as long as people are willing to embrace innovation.

The History of Innovation Day

This holiday was created a few years ago by the Society of Chemical Industry and The Science History Institute. They established this holiday to specifically acknowledge those creators who have made innovative discoveries or who have developed the next significant piece of technology that has propelled society forward. This day is also viewed as an opportunity to encourage the next generation to pursue careers in STEM.

The Greatest Innovators of All Time

If you search online for a list of the greatest innovators of all time, you’re likely to find many different lists with various individuals on them. That’s because there is no consensus on who the greatest innovators of all time are. That’s why we’ve decided to create our own list of whom we consider to be the greatest innovators of all time. Let’s look at them below.

Observing Innovation Day

One way we believe people should observe this holiday is by taking time out of their busy schedules to learn about the innovators of modern society. These are the men and women who have advanced big ideas that have helped society reach new heights.

There are plenty of books on this subject, and we sincerely hope that people will read some of these books on this day. This is also an excellent day for individuals to encourage young people to pursue careers in STEM or other areas of innovation.

Additionally, this is a good day for people to tap into their own creativity to see if they can create the next big invention. And as always, people are encouraged to spread the word about this holiday using the hashtag #InnovationDay on social media.
