National Give Space Day

National Give Space Day is a holiday that’s observed on November 30th every year and encourages everyone to recognize other people’s boundaries and to give them the space they want. All of us have a “body bubble” surrounding us and when someone violates that bubble without our consent, then it can promote anxiety, dread, and feelings of being violated.

And that’s why everyone should give people space, not only on this day but every day of the year. People should also feel free to tell other people that they need space and not feel guilty about it.

The History Of National Give Space Day

This holiday, also known as National Personal Space Day, is a holiday that was created by Give Space in 2019. They created this holiday to promote and support people’s personal space boundaries. There is even have a Peach Symbol that can be worn on closing that communicates to people that the person wearing it wants an extended body bubble and needs their space.

  • Pay attention to your surroundings so that you don’t inadvertently violate someone else’s personal space.
