No Socks Day
No Socks Day is a holiday that’s observed the world over and encourages people to shed their socks. What’s the point of not wearing socks for this day? Well, it means that a person doesn’t have one less piece of laundry they have to do. It also means that their feet are going to get a little bit of air.
But there is one thing that confuses us about this holiday. Are we supposed to just not wear socks, or are we supposed to lose the shoes as well? And if we’re supposed to wear shoes on this day are we really letting our feet breathe? These are all questions that we would like to answer, but until we do, we’ll suppose we’ll just not wear socks or shoes on this day.
The History Of No Socks Day
Although we’re unsure of when this holiday was invented, we do know that this holiday was created by Ruth and Thomas Roy. As we’ve stated in other articles that we’ve covered of theirs, this website is one that not only creates potpourri and herbs, but it’s also a website that makes up some pretty unusual holidays. Some of the holidays they’ve invented include Tick Tock Day, As Young as You Feel Day, and Walk on your Wild Side Day.
Observing No Socks Day
Take off your socks! That’s the rallying cry that surrounds this holiday. It doesn’t matter if those socks are cotton, wool, or flannel. Take them off and cast them aside. No one is allowed to wear them on this day.
Once that’s done, everyone should let the world know about their commitment to bare feet by using the hashtag #NoSocksDay. Another thing that some people are doing on this holiday is watching Quentin Tarantino movies on this day.
And that makes sense considering that many of his movies are filled with bare feet. Our Tarantino movie choice that we would watch on this holiday is Once Upon a Time In Hollywood.
