Pet Owners Independence Day

Pet Owners ⁢Independence Day is a holiday observed annually on April ⁤18th. This tongue-in-cheek holiday encourages pet owners to take the day⁣ off and lay around the house. According to the logic‌ of this⁢ day, pets are‌ the ones who don’t have jobs and sort of just drift through their lives by doing nothing all day.

Now, pet‍ owners can turn the tables on their pets and⁢ show them that they’re not going to work their fingers to the bone. Instead, these pet ⁢owners are going to encourage their pets to get a job — at least a job that lasts ⁤for 24 hours. When this holiday ends, pet owners can go back to working ⁢hard to ensure their pets have ‍their needs met.

The‍ History of Pet Owners’ Independence Day

This holiday was created a few years ago by the owners⁢ of Wellcat.com, Thomas and‍ Ruth Roy. Their⁣ website is used to sell botanicals, herbs and‌ spices, tea, spice blends, and⁢ herbal tea blends. This site ‍also sells potpourri, essential oils, and other products. Of course, that’s‍ only half of what this‌ website does.

Thanks to its owners, it is also ⁢a site that has released some pretty wild holidays over the years. What ⁤kind of holidays have they created over the years? Besides Pet Owners Independence Day,‌ other holidays can be found on this site, such as A Room of One’s⁤ Own Day, Lip ‍Appreciation Day, and Don’t Step on a Bee Day.

Observing Pet Owners’ Independence Day

As the name of this holiday clearly states, ⁢this is a day when pet owners are encouraged to take the day‌ off. Now, we’re⁣ not recommending that they neglect the basic needs of their pets. After all, they still need to be fed and watered. All that ‌this day suggests is that a pet owner should take the⁢ day off and⁣ spend the ⁤day lazing around the⁢ house.

That’s it. Oh, there might be one more thing‌ that a ‌person can do to celebrate this day. They can spread the word about it using ‍the hashtag #PetOwnersIndependenceDay online. Let⁢ all pet owners ‍know that this is their liberation ⁤day and they can take a break⁢ from pet owner responsibilities, at least for a little while.
