Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity is a day that’s observed on the third Tuesday of each October. The purpose of this protest holiday is to oppose abortion and it was a day that was created by students.

Each student takes a vow of silence-a symbolic act that’s supposed to represent the silenced voices of fetuses that have been aborted. Many of these students will wear a red armband to show that they’re taking part in this day, and some students will wear red duct tape over their mouths. This is a day that’s been observed every day since 2004.
